A Dreamy Day at Disneyland Paris

Yay! I am so excited to finally be sharing this post. Visiting Disneyland Paris was a dream come true for me. If you missed my first post on Sleeping Beauty’s castle, be sure to check it out here. As I said in my previous Disneyland Paris post, I’ve been going to Disney World Orlando my whole life and love it so, so much. When Nicolas surprised me and said we were going to Paris, Disneyland was at the top of my list. 😉

Disneyland Paris is only a 40 minute train ride from the city center. I was so busy planning out our day at the park that the ride flew by in the blink of an eye! We decided to only visit the Disneyland Paris park which is comparable to Magic Kingdom in Orlando. There is also the Walt Disney Studios park which has many of the attractions we’ve already experienced in Florida. Maybe we will visit there next time. 🙂

The entrance was incredibly impressive with the Disneyland Hotel overlooking the park. I’d love to stay there sometime. Walking onto Main Street was magical as always. It was simply beautiful, and I will admit that I got a tad emotional (Disney just gets me.)

I was thrilled to see some of my very favorite attractions like Cinderella’s Carousel. Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain were much faster and more intense than the ones I’ve ridden in Orlando! I wasn’t expecting that, but they were both so fun. Also, there was only a fifteen minute wait for Big Thunder Mountain. I’ve never seen that before!

It was so exciting to see Snow White’s Scary Adventures! I’ve missed this classic ride ever since it closed in Disney World. It was also really neat to ride It’s a Small World and see the attraction from another country’s perspective. If you’ve never been on it before, Small World is a boat ride showcasing continents and their cultures all around the world. Being that I normally ride this attraction in the U.S., North America isn’t normally featured. Riding It’s a Small World in France was amazing because North America was showcased, and I could see my home through someone else’s eyes. 🙂

We split a Dole Whip which is a necessity anytime you are in a Disney theme park!

I was most looking forward to experiencing Le Pays des Contes de Fées. This was a completely new attraction to me! It is a boat ride outdoors that takes you through Disney’s Storybook Land. Everything is miniature but so lifelike! My favorite part was Prince Eric’s castle. 🙂

We were incredibly lucky to be visiting Disneyland Paris during their 25th Anniversary Celebration! There was an amazing parade – the best parade I’ve ever seen – and beautiful decor.

There was also beautiful flower displays! Every single inch of the park held something magical. Before leaving, Nicolas and I headed into the shops to look around. There were so many little boutiques on Main Street and also in Disney Village, similar to Disney Springs in Orlando. I wanted to buy everything! There was so much chic merchandise I had never seen before that is exclusive to Disneyland Paris. SO dreamy.

A special thank you

to this amazing boy who gave me one of the most memorable days of my life!!! It was magical and perfect. He held my hand and let me gush over all the Disney characters and songs and clothes and food and all-things-Mickey-Mouse. And to think this all happened the day before he proposed to me … Magical!!!

If you are in Europe and are a Disney fanatic like me, I highly suggest visiting Disneyland Paris! Hope you are all having a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by Breakfast at Madison’s!

xx, Madison

What a fun trip! I’ve never been to a Disney park, but Disneyland Paris sounds more my speed considering the lack of huge crowds!
