The Coziest Bed and Breakfast // Bergamo, Italy

Happy Saturday! I have been waiting so long to share all of the photos from our trip to Italy! I had so much holiday content to post during November and December, so I thought it would be a good idea to wait until January to share the travel posts. πŸ™‚

In October after our trip to Greece, Nicolas and I decided to spend five days in Bergamo, Italy. Bergamo is around a 45 minute train ride from Milan. It is beautiful, cozy, and cultural. I enjoyed every single second of exploring this city, and you will see why in my upcoming posts!

Nicolas’s family came to join us for our last evening in Italy, so we all spent the night at Botton d’Oro. It was the loveliest bed and breakfast ever. Located on a cobblestone street in the oldest part of the city, this place is so incredibly special. It only has a handful of condominiums, and ours was so incredibly charming with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living area, and this beautiful kitchen.

The view from the kitchen window was breathtaking. I had to pinch myself every time I peeked outside. πŸ™‚

In the morning, we headed downstairs for breakfast. The space looked inviting and cozy with exposed brick and antique lighting fixtures.

The table was set beautifully with mismatched teacups which I absolutely loved!

There was a spread of freshly baked pastries, bread, biscotti, and cake! I was in heaven. This was so much more than I had been expecting. I didn’t know where to begin!

There was also freshly squeezed apple juice and orange juice, each individually served in a little mason jar.

I adored this table filled with various types of yogurt and toppings. I had some goat milk yogurt with granola. It was so fun to try something new!

I also enjoyed a cup of freshly brewed coffee along with some delicious chocolate-chip cake (and I may or may not have went back for seconds . . .) The table was decorated perfectly for fall, as well.

After breakfast, I took my time looking around and admiring all the rustic decor. I loved this little corner. Every inch of this bed and breakfast is uniquely decorated and really makes you feel at home.

Staying at Botton d’Oro was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Bergamo or Milan! It felt like something right out of a storybook. I am looking forward to sharing the rest of my Italy posts in the upcoming weeks. Have a great weekend!

Madison

Hi, Maria! Yes, totally stop in Bergamo if you ever go to Italy. An international airport is right in the city, and Bergamo is only a 45 min train ride to Milan! I have some more posts to share, too. πŸ™‚
