This post is entitled Red Boots for Christmas not only because it features my new red boots, but also because it is the title of one of my favorite Christmas movies from when I was little. The movie is quite hard to find now, but have any of you seen it, too? I think it is from 1995. 🙂 Anyways, this is my version of a fun holiday outfit. I’ve been experimenting with my wardrobe to find alternative ways to look festive that don’t always include the combination of red and green. I love mixing fabrics as well as pulling different colors from a piece and finding accessories to match. This tweed skirt has different shades of red and pink, so the red booties and pink headband complement it nicely. I also love how both the headband and shirt are made from a shiny, satin material. So fancy! I completed the outfit with my rose gold name necklace from oNecklace which is very Carrie Bradshaw-esque. And because I’m *that* girl, I matched my necklace with my socks which also happen to be a sparkly rose gold … 😀
Tell me – do you keep it more traditional when dressing for a holiday party, or do you like to mix it up? I’ve found royal blue, silver, gold, and rose gold to be very popular at my boutique this Christmas season! Thank you to oNecklace for the gift of this beautiful piece of jewelry.’Tis the season to sparkle!
xx, Madison
