Hosting My First Tea Party in Our New Home

Well hello, everyone.

It has been a hot minute since I’ve posted on Breakfast at Madison’s. I am the worst. It has been another few crazy, busy, wonderful months! Nicolas and I found a house we completely loved in November and have since purchased it and moved in – yet another whirlwind! I am very excited to share photos of our new home. Today’s post is a little preview. I was so happy to host my first tea party here. I invited my mom and two sisters over a few days after Valentine’s Day, and we had the best time! My youngest sister Flynn helped me bake the sugar cookies the day before, and I decorated the table with plates and a tablecloth from our local grocery store. My teapot and cups are Royal Copenhagen. They were a very special wedding gift from Nicolas’s sweet aunt, uncle, and cousins.

Menu

red grapes

ham and cheese tea sandwiches

heart-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

heart-shaped sugar cookies

mini vanilla cream pies with raspberries

cinnamon spice black tea

hot cocoa

Today I am doing laundry and planning meals for the week ahead. I wanted to share this blog post and catch up with you all! Have you hosted a tea party before? Do you have any recipes for tea party treats? Feel free to share them below!

xx, Madison
