Christmas at Tivoli // 12 Days of Christmas Day 7

Day 7 of my 12 Days of Christmas has arrived! Today’s post takes place at a place so dear to my heart – Tivoli. If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you know how much Nicolas and I love to visit this lovely park! If you are unfamiliar with Tivoli, you can read my older posts about it here and here.

Christmas at Tivoli is something so incredibly special. The only word to fully describe it is magical. Upon entering, you’re greeted by countless strands of Tivoli’s signature lights along with big, festive wreaths and beautifully decorated Christmas trees.

The attention to detail is simply amazing. I think you could walk through the park several times and see something new each time. I couldn’t help but notice this window display of the elves hard at work decorating Christmas cookies!

One of my favorite parts of the park is the Christmas village. There are dozens of little cottages with some offering hot cocoa and sweets and others selling all types of Christmas decorations and gifts. It looks like something straight out of a movie!

I also LOVED this candy cane tree …

… and this rustic sleigh filled with wrapped gifts!

I always drag Nicolas along to browse all of the shops. I love going into Illums Bolighus to see the Royal Copenhagen collections. The Christmas one is my absolute favorite, and I dream of having it in my own home someday. 🙂

Nicolas brought me to Tivoli during Christmastime last year for my 20th birthday, and we got a photo in front of the big tree together. I wanted to continue the tradition and get a photo again this year. 🙂 I cannot believe this will be our THIRD Christmas together. Where does the time go?

Again with that magical feeling … Cinderella’s carriage is so pretty!

After we walked around and admired every bit of Christmas, we headed inside for some dessert. I asked for a waffle with whipped cream and marmalade. Not only did Nicolas buy me the waffle, he also got me a DELICIOUS slice of apple pie. (This is how I know he is a keeper. 😉 )

I hope you enjoyed today’s post! Do you have a special place you like to visit during the month of December? Let me know in the comments below! Have an amazing day. I will be spending the rest of my day baking cookies for my classmates at Danish school and then probably visiting Nicolas at work for a cup of tea. 🙂

Today’s candle is Sparkling Cinnamon, and mmm does it smell good! I think this will be Nicolas’s favorite out of all the candles. Today’s tea is Pink Peace with chamomile, beetroot, and dandelion. This is my second time receiving this one in the calendar, and I really enjoy it. It is the perfect tea to sip on right before bed! If you’ve missed any of my other 12 Days of Christmas posts, be sure to check them out! Also head over to my mom’s blog along with her friend Danielle’s to see their 12 Days of Christmas posts. 🙂

    Three years already? How can that be? Wasn’t it just yesterday that you two met? {{giggles and smiles}}

    Oh how one lucky girl you are, smiles and you look like a princess in Cinderella’s carriage (and I bet Flynn would love that, smiles). And yes, ma’am, Nicolas is a keeper, for sure.

    And about the special place, not really…since moving back to western NY 5 years ago, I have to say, its plum magical anyways. smiles

    What a gorgeous tree in Tivoli, Madison! The whole place looks like it’s from a fairy tale. All the places in Europe seem to embrace Christmas with such magic. We usually like to visit Colonial Williamsburg during the Christmas holidays, but this year we have been traveling so much we are enjoying being in our home. ♥

    What a wonderful place to celebrate Christmas. We are going to enjoy the quiet of our own little cottage and recover from our travels.
