Choosing Our Bridesmaids and Groomsmen // Wedding Update No. 3

One of the things I’ve always loved most about Nicolas is how family-oriented he is. Our families are so important to us, and we are both very close with our siblings (and each other’s siblings!) It was the best thing ever when all of our brothers and sisters met this summer and became instant friends.

It wasn’t a difficult task selecting our wedding party. I’m pretty sure my sister Peyton knew she would be my maid of honor her entire life! Donuts are one of her very favorite things, so I bought her a box of Dunkin Donuts and wrote a cheesy little message in the lid. She loved it (and said yes!) I also asked the most special little 8 year old to be my junior bridesmaid, and she was thrilled. I have the sweetest sisters! Our wedding party wouldn’t be complete without Nicolas’s little sister Julia. We are incredibly close, and I consider us sisters already! Don’t I have the prettiest bridal party? 🙂

 

I picked out t-shirts for all of us that we wore to the engagement party. They are from Before the Bells on Etsy, and the woman that makes them is so nice and talented!

 

Nicolas asked his younger brother Jakob to be his best man, as they’ve been best friends from the second he was born. He also asked my younger brother to be a groomsman. Since living in the states, I’m not quite sure who Nicolas has hung out with more – me or my brother! Haha

I could not think of a better group of people to stand beside Nicolas and me on our special day. Our brothers and sisters have been incredibly supportive of our relationship. We are so lucky!
