I’m back after a week of cruising down to the Bahamas! We sailed on the Carnival Pride which is my family’s favorite ship. It was such a fun and relaxing week! I thought I’d write a quick post sharing some of my favorite moments from the trip. 🙂
Atlantis Resort
We stopped at Nassau and spent an entire day at Atlantis. It was the best day ever! I’ll make a whole post on it later, but for now here is a photo of me and Nicolas all smiles after a day of water slides, sunshine, and cheeseburgers. (This is also my absolute favorite photo from the trip. Thanks, mom. 🙂 )
Naps + Room Service
Does anyone else agree that vacation naps are the best naps? I napped almost every afternoon, and it was wonderful. Afterwards, I made a tradition of ordering a little snack with tea or coffee from room service. It was such a treat and something I always look forward to!
Formal Nights
There were two formal nights in the dining room, and it was so fun getting all dressed up for dinner! It makes the evening feel so special. My blue velvet jumpsuit is from American Eagle, and I love it so much. It is currently sold out, but they have a similar one here (plus it is currently 60% off!!!)
A (Very) Belated 21st Birthday Celebration
Our wait staff surprised me with a cake and birthday song! I turned 21 in November and celebrated with a little brunch at home before returning to Denmark. However, we never went out to celebrate (which I was totally fine with!) I was totally caught off guard and laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes!
80’s Dance Party
I’m not really a dancer (I always feel so awkward!), but I had a great time at the 80’s Rock and Glow party on the Lido deck! My mom is a great dancer (even though she’ll never admit it) and knew all the songs and moves. We had a great time together! Another highlight was the yummy piña colada I enjoyed afterwards. 🙂
Family Time
Nicolas and I hadn’t seen my family for four months, and it was so nice for all of us to be back together again. Moving abroad has really made me appreciate family time so much more! We also had an amazing time with our friend Alan who we met on our last cruise and have stayed in touch with ever since. He even took Nicolas and my brother to his favorite authentic Philippine restaurant while we were docked at Port Canaveral and brought some back for the rest of us to try. It was such a cool experience!
Have you ever been on a cruise? What is your favorite part? Let me know in the comments below! I hope everyone is having a great week. 🙂

Oh Madison, I loved seeing your pictures from your cruise. My, what a splendid time you must have had (and yes, vacation naps are definitely the best). You and Nicolas make such a handsome couple and I can see why the first photo is your favorite from the trip – it’s simply precious! I have never been on a cruise, but have often thought about going on one and after your post you now have me longing for the sunshine and ocean waves.
I wanted to let you know that that a couple of weeks ago I was watching one of your YouTube videos and in it you used the Beauty For Real products. Well, thanks to you I order the tinted moisturizer and bronze+glo and tried them for the first time this morning. I must say that my first reaction after applying the products was one of LOVE. Every time I look in the mirror I can’t help but smile at how natural and fresh my face looks. I am not a big fan of foundation only because I hate the heavy and greasy feeling it leaves on my face after a few hours, but sadly, I need a little bit of coverage thanks to some scars on my cheeks. The Beauty For Real covered everything up nicely and left my face with a smooth finish. Thanks for sharing about the products, Madison 🙂
