How to Get the PERFECT Summer Lip

Helloooo, everyone! I am SO excited about this post!!! My friends at Beauty For Real sent me some new lip products, and I’ve been trying them out for the past few weeks. I am giving them a MAJOR stamp of approval. Today I am going to be talking about their lip cream and lip gloss along with two other fave products of mine that help me get the perfect summer lip.

I don’t know about you, but I’m really not a fan of touching up my makeup frequently. The most I’ll ever do is add a little gloss, mostly because I’m lazy. That means that I’m always searching for products that are long lasting and feel comfortable on my skin and lips. These are the products we’re going to be working with today, and they do an amazing job at that.  Keep reading to see how I use them and where to find them. 🙂

From left to right: Beauty For Real Lip Cream + Color, Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter, Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight in 01 hefty highlight, Beauty For Real Lip Gloss + Shine in Starlust

1. Line + Fill

Line and fill in your lips! I’m using the Beauty for Real Lip Cream + Color in the shade Tropicoral (cutest name ever). I love this lip color because it has the longevity of a liquid lipstick but the smoothness of a hydrating lip balm. The small doe foot applicator makes it super easy to outline the shape of my lips and then spread the color around to fill in. However, my FAVORITE thing about these lip creams is the packaging! Every BFR lip cream and gloss has a light in the wand and a mini mirror on the back for a super easy application. Doing my makeup on the go has become so much simpler!

2. Perfect + Shape

I received this Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter in my Ipsy bag and have been using it every day since! It is essentially a pencil concealer that is meant to be used to highlight the brow area. However, I’ve been using it around my lips and under my eyes as well! A lot of pencil concealers I have used in the past had a tendency to be dry and hard to blend, but this one is not. It is so creamy and this shade blends perfectly into my skin. Use it under your bottom lip to clean up any mistakes and give some definition!

3. Highlight

This is probably my favorite step of my routine. I LOVE to highlight! The two products I use for highlighting my lips are the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight in the shade 01 Hefty Highlight (ok, that was a mouthful) and Beauty for Real’s Lip Gloss + Shine in the shade Starlust. Tap a little bit of the highlighter on your cupids bow. This will draw major attention to your upper lip, making it look fuller! Then apply the gloss to the very center of your lips for some extra shimmer. I am obsessed with this lip gloss because it looks beautiful on its own AND on top of color. It is super hydrating and plumping because it is carefully formulated with grapeseed oil, green tea, aloe vera, avocado, and peppermint extract (WOW, I KNOW.) Plus, it also has a handy light and mirror. 😉

4. SMILE

… because happiest girls are the prettiest! Thanks, Audrey Hepburn 🙂

That’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed creating it. A special thank you to Beauty For Real for giving me the opportunity to test out some of their products and share them with you guys! Also, I’d love for you to let me know in the comments below which makeup how-to I should make next!
