Hello! Hi! Hope you all are well. I am still blogging about our trip to Barcelona because we simply took too many photos and experienced so many things!
Today is all about a very special experience Nicolas and I shared – visiting the BasĂlica de la Sagrada FamĂlia. If you are unaware of this incredibly breathtaking temple and its history, I definitely suggest reading up on it. It has such an amazing story. Construction of Sagrada FamĂlia began way back in 1882 in an effort to build a temple in honor of the Holy Family. The famous artist Antoni GaudĂ took over the project in 1883 and put his entire heart and soul into it until his death in 1926. Since then, many others have continued to oversee the construction of Sagrada FamĂlia. However, the project still remains unfinished!

After a much needed afternoon nap, Nicolas and I headed out to further explore the city. Barcelona is famous for its churros, so we were very determined to try some! We ended up at Churreria Laietana. It was one of the tiniest and coziest cafés I have ever been to. On TripAdvisor, it is rated #1 out of 176 cafés for coffee and tea in Barcelona as well as #8 out of 8,272 places to eat! We both agreed that the coffee was delicious and bold and the churros (freshly fried and doused in sugar) were amazing.
