So we’ve made it to 7 Days of Pumpkin Day 4! Today was so fun and cozy. It started with pumpkin donuts and pumpkin coffee followed by watching the Barcelona game with Nicolas and Facetiming with his parents. Afterward, we carved and painted the pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch!
I opted to paint my pumpkin, as I am slightly afraid of knives and really enjoy painting! We snacked on some delicious brownies my sister made. She cut up some of the candy bars from trick-or-treating and sprinkled the chocolate bits on top before baking. They were sooo yummy! I was happy my aunt brought my amazing grandma up to spend the day with us. She painted a tiny pumpkin, too. 🙂
My pumpkin was inspired by Day of the Dead. I really like sugar skulls and many of the traditions centered around Dia de los Muertos. After carving and painting, we lit some of the pumpkins. I love how cozy they look! Nicolas spent quite some time on his pumpkin giving it creepy stitches and a spooky smile. I still can’t believe we’ve been doing this tradition together for three years!
What did you all do today? Do you paint or carve your pumpkins? Let me know in the comments below!

Your pumpkins look great! We usually carve our pumpkins, although we haven’t done that in several years now. Putting cut up candy bars on brownies sounds like a great idea!

Is this Nicolas’ first American Halloween, Madison? Just wondering, smiles
Yes, this was his first Halloween in the states! He had so much fun, and I was sure to show him all the spooky traditions we always do. 🙂
