A Day at Atlantis // Nassau, Bahamas

Today’s post is a continuation of this post featuring my favorite moments from our recent Carnival cruise from Baltimore to the Bahamas. πŸ™‚ We were lucky enough to spend a day in Nassau which is the capital of the Bahamas. It is also where Atlantis Paradise Island Resort is located! We booked a full-day excursion through Carnival and received a day pass to visit the resort. It was honestly the best day ever.

The island was beautiful, and the entrance to the resort was really impressive. We had never visited Atlantis before, so I had no idea what to expect. Newsflash: It is NOT your average waterpark.Β I do not typically like waterparks, but I positively loved Atlantis!

My favorite part was the lazy river (which actually wasn’t so lazy!) Isn’t my family the cutest? There were so many amazing waterslides. I was only brave enough to ride one – The Serpent Slide – which is a tunnel that takes you through a lagoon filled with sharks!

Nicolas was all smiles because he loves waterparks, and I have never been a big fan. I think he felt accomplished when he convinced me to ride the shark slide with him. πŸ˜€

There was plenty of palm trees for me and my momma to relax under. (We aren’t big fans of the sun. πŸ™‚ ) It was such a memorable day, and I cannot wait to go back someday! We were all so sad to leave.

Hope you enjoyed this sunny post! There is still snow here in Pennsylvania. (WHY?) I cannot wait for some sunshine and spring weather! Is the weather nice where you are?

Madison

Looks like an amazing place to visit. We had a smattering of snow yesterday, today it seems to be rain, rain and more rain.

Super late to this post but it looks wonderful! I enjoy lazy rivers, but most of the water parks I’ve been to are indoors. (Hello Midwest!) That looks gorgeous and I am so glad you had a wonderful day!

Hi, Madeline! Haha it is the same in PA – not too many outdoor waterparks! Thanks so much!
