My Favorite Pink Lipsticks

This impromptu post is dedicated to my lovely grandmother who just passed away this past week. After hearing the news, I immediately flew home to the U.S. to be with my family and celebrate her life. My grandma’s name was Florence, and she loved the color pink. She loved to have her nails painted, and she looked so beautiful with a swipe of pink lipstick on. I suggested that for her funeral, all of us girls paint our nails pink. It was such a fun and lovely way to honor her. In today’s post, I’m going to share with you all my favorite pink lipsticks. 🙂

1. The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Darling Blush

I have this lip color in the shade 325 Darling Blush. It looks darker in the photo than it actually applies. This lipstick is a dark nude pink with a hint of shimmer, and it is BEAUTIFUL. I bought this on a whim in The Body Shop store in Copenhagen almost a year ago, and it immediately became my go-to. I keep this particular tube in my purse because it goes with any makeup look. It is also so moisturizing and never flakes off my lips. It is easy to apply (no lipliner required.) I think this lipstick will be the first tube I finish up! I am not sure if this particular shade is currently available, but there are a lot of similar colors available here.

2. Beauty For Real Lip Cream + Color in Barely There

The name of this lip cream is perfect because it really looks like it is barely there. Online, it is described as a ‘pinky beige nude.’ It essentially looks like your lips but better, giving them a hint of pink with a creamy, smooth finish. I know this is not your traditional lipstick, but it has the finish of one. I was never a fan of liquid lipsticks (as I don’t care for matte lips) before I tried these. These are hydrating and don’t make my lips dry and flaky. They are also long wearing. I only have to touch up once a day, and when I do, I use the mirror on the back of the tube and the light in the tip. It is honestly the coolest packaging ever! You can find this shade along with several others here. I also have a 20% discount code (MADISONMAKEUP) if you’re interested in trying one yourself!

3. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Speak Your Mind

This is my favorite special occasion pink! It is a little brighter and more pigmented than my other pink lipsticks. I worked at a Bare Minerals counter this past summer and really enjoyed working with the Bare Minerals lipsticks. It was so fun to put a little bit of lip color on a client and watch her self confidence be lifted. It is amazing what a little lipstick can do! Bare Minerals discontinued their Moxie lipstick line and introduced the Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick collection. Similar colors to Speak Your Mind are Crave and XOX. However, you can still purchase the Marvelous Moxie lipsticks on Amazon. Just make sure you read reviews to make sure you’re purchasing from a reliable seller.

4. Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Fresh Papaya

This is a total throwback for me. I have used these since high school and have tried several shades. This one is my favorite! I love how affordable these are, and the quality is amazing. The MoistureSmooth Color Sticks are made with fruit extracts, mango, and shea butter so your lips are so soft after application. The color payoff is also really impressive. I highly recommend checking them out next time you’re at the drugstore, or you can purchase them here.

That is all for today. Thank you for stopping by. I’ll be enjoying the next few weeks relaxing and spending some quality time with my family, but I’ll try to squeeze some blog posts in, too. 🙂

I’m so sorry for your loss. This was such a beautiful way to honor your grandmother. She sounds a lot like my great-grandmother who passed away several years ago – she loved pink and always wore glittery butterfly brooches on everything.

I have been obsessed with Tarte Lip Paint in the shade Birthday Suit, and Kat Von D’s liquid lip in Lolita II. They are my everyday go to.
