This OOTD is answering two fashion questions that almost all of you have probably asked yourself at one point. 1.) Can you wear navy with black? and 2.) Can you wear comfy shoes and still look stylish? The answer to both of those questions is YES.
For some reason, I always thought that you could never wear black with navy. I think it is because I have excessively watched What Not To Wear since I was 7 years old. Stacy and Clinton MAY disagree with me on this, but I enjoy wearing navy and black together. My wardrobe is built upon many many shades of black, grey, and white with the occasional beige thrown in. Being that my wardrobe contains mostly neutrals, I like to throw in the occasional pop of color to spice things up. To me, navy is a shade of blue. Blue is a color. There’s your answer.
I just bought these Tommy sneakers at TJ Maxx last week and am already obsessed! They are so so comfortable, and I love that they are almost all white with a little navy detailing on the back. Since moving to Copenhagen and living in a city, I’ve come to realize that walking or biking several miles in wedges or sandals is not comfortable. Sneakers are SUCH a fashion staple in Copenhagen, and I have fully embraced it. I wear sneakers with anything and everything!
To wrap everything up, I used this black maxi skirt as my canvas and paired it with a cropped, striped tee that I absolutely love. The shirt matched my new sneakers perfectly. I didn’t second guess my comfy and cute outfit one bit (especially because we went to Cheesecake Factory and I ate basically the entire menu.) 🙂
