Nicolas took me for a lovely (and long!) walk around Paris where we went sightseeing and shopping. Our first stop was the Louvre, which is the world’s largest art museum and a historical landmark. To actually see it in person was amazing.
In case you didn’t know, Sephora is French and originated in Paris! I was so excited to visit their flagship store on the Champs Elysees. It was positively huge inside, and I really enjoyed looking at all the makeup and perfumes.
We also visited the House of Denmark, which is a building filled with exhibits and shops featuring Danish design. There is even a Danish flag above the entrance. 🙂
Last but not least, I explored a traditional French pharmacy. Pharmacies in France are bit different than American pharmacies. The shelves are stocked with high-end personal care products such as hair care and skincare along with makeup and of course medicine. I could’ve spent hours in there! I loved testing out some of the products my favorite French makeup artists use.

Depends where I am, a little of both is usually good.
I love to shop and eat when I travel! Any chance I get to go to a new place and try their local restaurants is a win for me. We shopped 5th Ave in NYC this past summer and my poor bank account was hurting!
What a wonderful day that must have been. I like to do every vacation a little different but my main goal is usually not to look like a tourist and be annoying. (Stopping randomly on a sidewalk etc.) I think in Paris it would be a sightseeing trip, however.
I love sightseeing and shopping, Madison! When in France I find it hard to shop as there are many lovely places to visit. The Louvre is amazing! I’m so glad you spent some time there! The French pharmacies are so helpful. I remember a visit when I had a very bad sore throat and the chemist behind the counter gave me something that made me feel better. Vive la France! ♥

I LOVE sightseeing!! I think my favorite spot in Paris was drinking espresso across the street from the Arc De Triomphe!
