A 1950’s Facial // Juicy Beauty

Hello, friends! Happy Saturday! I am so excited to be sharing today’s post, as it was a memorable experience for me. A few weeks ago I visited Juicy Beauty which is a beauty clinic here in Copenhagen.

This salon is incredibly unique because it is 1950’s-themed (hence why I was so thrilled to go.) Immediately upon entering, you are taken back in time. The decor is centered around pretty pastels and retro memorabilia. It was like a dream!

My new pink raincoat was perfect for the occasion. 🙂

I was invited to receive a 90 minute facial by Osk, and it was incredible. She made sure I was comfortable and was extremely thorough. She first analyzed my face and informed me that I have combination skin – a bit oily through the T-zone and dry on my cheeks. She then performed treatments that fit accordingly with my skin concerns. I got a peel, steam facial, shoulder and neck massage, and a face mask. After that, she tinted and shaped my eyebrows (total game changer) and applied some moisturizer and eye cream. It should also be noted that the chair was heated and I was given a cozy blanket, too. So lovely!

After the facial, I was given some extra time to sit back and enjoy some organic orange juice and snacks. I left the clinic feeling relaxed and refreshed!

As many of you know, I have very sensitive skin so I am sometimes wary of doing too much to it. However, my skin LOVED this facial. I am wearing zero makeup in the photo below. (As your facialist should tell you, it is important not to wear any makeup for 24 hours following your facial.) All my dry skin was buffed away, and I was glowing! I was also so pleased with my eyebrows! I am in the (long) process of growing out my brows, and Osk was fantastic at making them look as full as possible.

If you have never had a facial before, I can highly recommend treating yourself or doing a DIY one at home! I love to invest in my skin. One of my biggest beauty beliefs is that skincare is significantly more important than makeup. The better your skin looks, the less makeup you will want to wear. 🙂

Tusinde tak to Osk at Juicy Beauty for such an amazing afternoon! If you live in the Copenhagen area, be sure to visit Juicy Beauty’s site to see a list of all the treatments they offer. What is your favorite beauty treatment? Let me know in the comments below!
