Friday Favorites // No. 3

It has been a hot minute since I’ve written a Friday Favorites post. I have a handful of products plus a few little extra things I’ve been loving lately, so I thought I’d share them with you all!

1. Third Culture Angled Round Kabuki Brush

In the summertime, I really enjoy wearing lightweight, minimalistic makeup. I’ve been reaching for my mineral powder foundation so much lately, and this is my favorite brush to apply it with. It is meant for blush or bronzer, but I think the angle on the brush is really great to apply the mineral powder in hard to reach spots like around the nose and down the jawline. I also really like to build up coverage by taking the brush and swiping my powder in a downward motion. It is one of the softest brushes I own, and it is only around 10 dollars (8 pounds)! If you’re looking for the perfect brush to apply powder foundation, you can check it out here.

2. Mary Kay Foundation Primer + SPF 15

As some of you may know, I was a Mary Kay consultant a few years back. Mary Kay was also the first brand of makeup I ever wore! I have become very familiar with the brand and have a couple of products I still love to use. This primer is one of them! First off, it smells sooo good. I like to apply a little on my nose to disguise the look of my pores as well as on my smile lines and forehead to help prevent creasing. I also like to apply this all over my face when I am wearing a foundation that does not contain SPF. Many primers irritate my skin, but this Mary Kay one does not!

3. Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm

Ohhh how I love this stuff! My sweet dad bought this lip balm for me while on a business trip in Las Vegas. I had never been in a Lush but talked about it all the time. This is the first Lush product I have ever tried, and it is great. I love knowing exactly what is in my lip products, and my lips love the all natural ingredients! It also smells really good and wears great alone or under lipstick. I now have the luxury of living somewhat near a Lush store across the bridge in Malmö. I visited it last weekend and loved it!

4. Full Brow Brow Powder

I received the CUTEST little package from Full Brow recently, and it was filled to the brim with their entire collection of brow products. I was so excited! I immediately tested them out on Nicolas’s mom and myself. We both really loved this brow powder. It is super creamy and pigmented. I’ve been wearing the shade ‘Blonde’ for a more natural look. It also is enriched with vitamin E and antioxidants to nourish and condition the brow hair. So cool! You can see Full Brow’s entire shade range here.

5. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye

An oldie but a goodie! I am well on my third tube of this stuff, and it never disappoints. You simply must try it to understand how good it is! It is very full coverage and brightening, but when you blend it in, it still looks natural. It is also perfect for anyone with aging skin and/ or dry under eyes. I have gotten my mom hooked on it as well. A little tip though: When I first started using this years ago, I did not care for it. It creased and just looked too cakey. LESS IS MORE with this concealer (and it also makes the tube last much longer 😉 ) I also avoid placing it directly under my lower lash line to prevent creasing and instead apply just a little to the inner corners of my eyes and blend it out with my fingers to brighten where I am most dark. Applying it with your fingers is best in my opinion because the warmth from your skin just blends the concealer seamlessly. Note: It Cosmetics just released a new pot formulation of this concealer, and I can’t wait to try it! My friend Diane was lucky enough to try it already and did an awesome review on it here.

6. The Letter by Kathryn Hughes

My mom loaned me this book and told me I just HAD to read it. When I looked at the cover, it did not look like something I would normally read, BUT WOW. This book was suspenseful, emotional, and also a bit historical. It is a fictional novel that takes place in the 1940’s and 1970’s, so I felt a bit more educated after reading it as well! I am not going to spoil anything for anyone wanting to read this, but if you like historical fiction or romance novels, this is a book for you.

7. Look What You Made Me Do

Because Taylor Swift. I have listened to this 23 times now, and I am not tired of it yet. (However, I am not even tired of 1989 yet …) But words cannot describe how excited I am for this new album and new era. #Swiftie4Life

HAPPY FRIDAY, friends! Hope you all have a great weekend. xx
