Friday Favorites // No 2.

HAPPY FRIDAY! Today I am sharing with you four of my very favorite beauty/ skincare products that I have been reaching for nonstop. I am very much a girl of routine, and I don’t switch it up THAT often. (Yes, I am always trying out new products and doing different looks, but rarely do I ever love it so much that I use it every single day. 🙂 )  However, I’ve added 3 new products into my morning and night routines recently! Feel free to grab a cup of something warm and cozy and read along. 🙂

1. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser

Ahh, an oldie but a goodie. After finishing up my Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, I found this in the back of my makeup drawer. I had not used it since summertime, and there was only a few weeks worth of product left. I tried it and fell in love with it all over again. This (so far throughout my makeup discoveries) is the ONLY concealer that truly covers up my dark circles and brightens my under-eye area without having to use a color corrector underneath. I immediately headed to the drugstore to repurchase it only to find that it is NOT available in Denmark! Needless to say, I’m very much looking forward to coming to the U.S. this summer to repurchase. And at $10, it is totally a steal.

2. Lavera Eyebrow Styling Gel

Very few days go by that I don’t do my eyebrows. I am also in the horrific process of trying to grow them out after YEARS (thanks, 6th grade Madison) of over-tweezing and waxing. So after lightly filling them in, I need something that keeps them in place all day long. This Lavera brow gel does just that PLUS more. It is certified organic and has so many good-for-your-brows ingredients! So not only is it setting them in place, it is nourishing and strengthening them with essential oils and shea butter. The wand can also be used on your lashes to nourish them at nighttime or be worn as a clear mascara. The brush on the opposite end is perfect for brushing your brows in place. I discovered this product through Third Culture’s website and have been hooked on it ever since. And it is only $11.00 (10.50 Euro)! 3. Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Night Cream

I also ran out of my absolute FAVORITE Eminence moisturizer that I used at nighttime and was unsure of where to purchase it here in Denmark. Being that I have super sensitive skin, I didn’t want to invest a ton of money in a night cream if I didn’t know how my skin would respond to it. I researched the drugstore brands available and read several product reviews. This Nivea night cream seemed like a safe bet, and I had already used their body lotion before. After 3 weeks of using it now, I really like it. It keeps my skin calm and nourished, and I wake up with a moisturized, non-irritated complexion. It is just a great all-around night cream.

4. Third Culture Natural Colour Lip Pots

Oh, how I love these! Honestly, guys, these are great. I use one in my latest collaboration tutorial with Third Culture which will be uploaded soon! I discuss them more in depth in the video, but these are essentially a lip balm, lip tint, lipstick, and lipliner all in one. Being that the product comes in a little pot, it is so versatile. For quick application, I apply one layer with my finger and melt it into my lips for a subtle pop of color. For a more dramatic look, I use a lip brush to line my lips with the color and then fill them in with a couple coats for maximum coverage. They are all natural and nourishing with a subtle hint of shimmer. So pretty! I swatched some of my favorite ones for you below. Keep in mind that every color works differently with everyones lips, pH balance, and skin tone! These are a high-quality product at a drugstore price (8 dollars!!!). You can also mix them together to make your custom color. That’s it for today! I hope you have a great weekend. I’m planning on relaxing and enjoying the (rare) sunshine and warm weather here in Copenhagen!
