Brunch and Stuff

Hey, all! Life has been so crazy, hence the reason why it has been a little over a week since I last uploaded. I have been very busy studying at a makeup and hair artist academy here in Copenhagen. I LOVE IT!!! I am so happy to go to school and play with makeup all day. It is a dream come true! Anyways, on with todays post.

The three things that make me the happiest are food, pajamas, and lazy days. And Nicolas happens to know that. So on a beautiful Saturday morning he surprised me by bringing me brunch in bed. Obviously I got out of bed to grab my camera and take some photos (because it was too pretty not to photograph), but it was nothing short of delicious. He even made me coffee in my favorite Audrey mug. πŸ™‚

I should also note that it was a multi-cultural brunch being that it was a mix between fresh Danish pastries, bread, and meats along with homemade American pancakes – all served Spanish tapas style!

These are two of my favorite Danish pastries – tebirkes and kanel snegl. Tebirkes are a sweet poppy seed roll. I’ve been told that tebirkes are to Denmark as croissants are to France. A kanel snegl is basically a cinnamon roll – a very, very special cinnamon roll. The best ones have chocolate in the center.

All the shopping and cooking made for one sleepy boyfriend and one happy Madison. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my life here in Denmark πŸ™‚ I wish everyone a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

That looks like my definition of absolute brunch perfection!! Yum!! And I LOVE anything poppyseed – as it’s also big in Polish culture too. Gorgeous photos of it all my Dear. πŸ˜‰

And wishing you continued success with your classes and pursuits there!
