HAPPY EASTER! Today has been such a wonderful day. I have really enjoyed celebrating my first Easter here in Denmark at Nicolas’ family’s beach house. I am sharing a few of my favourite photos, combining new Danish traditions with my own American ones. 🙂
Today was a perfect Sunday! The weather was amazing so Nicolas and I decided to take a walk and have a picnic at one of my favorite spots in Copenhagen. There is a little place called Langelinie Park near the Little Mermaid statue. It is so charming with its cozy benches and beautiful greenery. The cherry trees are currently blossoming in gorgeous shades of pink! I (unintentionally) wore
Hey, guys! Another one of my makeup tutorials with Third Culture is up on their site, and I’m so excited to share it with you! If you saw my last makeup tutorial, you will remember that I did an easy everyday makeup look. This evening look simply builds off of that. I do some touchups, add a little drama to the eye, and finish it off with a GORGEOUS lip color! I’d love for you to check it out here: http://www.tcface.com/day-to-night-mineral-makeup-look
Don’t forget that you can purchase a box filled with all the products I used simply by clicking on them to the right-hand side of the video. Choose your color preferences, and you’re all set! Third Culture ships to all of Europe and the U.S. If you missed my last tutorial, you can see it here: http://www.tcface.com/madisons-naturally-pretty-look
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet! 🙂
HAPPY FRIDAY! Today I am sharing with you four of my very favorite beauty/ skincare products that I have been reaching for nonstop. I am very much a girl of routine, and I don’t switch it up THAT often. (Yes, I am always trying out new products and doing different looks, but rarely do I ever love it so much that I use it every single day. 🙂 ) However, I’ve added 3 new products into my morning and night routines recently!
Hi! Sorry for my lack of posts recently. I have been super busy taking a Danish language course and working on an exciting new project that I will soon be able to share with all of you. 🙂
In the meantime, I am wrapping up our Spain vacation with some photos from my first FC Barcelona football game! Nicolas’s life partially revolves around this team so naturally, I have come to love it myself! It was on his bucket list to take me to a game so I could experience the atmosphere and see his favorite players in person
Hello! Hi! Hope you all are well. I am still blogging about our trip to Barcelona because we simply took too many photos and experienced so many things!
Today is all about a very special experience Nicolas and I shared – visiting the Basílica de la Sagrada Família. If you are unaware of this incredibly breathtaking temple and its history, I definitely suggest reading up on it. It has such an amazing story. Construction of Sagrada Família began way back in 1882 in an effort to build a temple in honor of the Holy Family. The famous artist Antoni Gaudí took over the project in 1883 and put his entire heart and soul into it until his death in 1926. Since then, many others have continued to oversee the construction of Sagrada Família. However, the project still remains unfinished!
Happy Tuesday! I am finally home safe and sound after another week of traveling and am anxious to share my newest experiences with you 🙂 This post is the continuation of my last post when Nicolas and I visited Barcelona. If you missed it, you can read it here and see what we did during our first morning in this beautiful city! http://breakfastatmadisons.com/a-day-in-barcelona
After a much needed afternoon nap, Nicolas and I headed out to further explore the city. Barcelona is famous for its churros, so we were very determined to try some! We ended up at Churreria Laietana. It was one of the tiniest and coziest cafés I have ever been to. On TripAdvisor, it is rated #1 out of 176 cafés for coffee and tea in Barcelona as well as #8 out of 8,272 places to eat! We both agreed that the coffee was delicious and bold and the churros (freshly fried and doused in sugar) were amazing.
Hello, friends! Nicolas and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Barcelona, Spain this past week! Although we already visited Spain this past summer, I had yet to see Barcelona. We flew in late Monday evening and spent the following two days there. We had an amazing time seeing all the beautiful cathedrals, eating lots of Spanish ham and tapas, and simply enjoying the culture of this amazing city. In this post, you will see some of the first things Nicolas and I experienced in Barcelona. 🙂
1. Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar
After reading up on the history of the Santa Maria del Mar, I was so thrilled to visit this beautiful cathedral. It has been said that the apostle James preached in this very spot, leading to the construction of a tiny chapel. The actual church construction began in the 14th century in the year 1329 and was consecrated in 1384. Since construction of the cathedral only took 55 years, it is the only Gothic church to have been completed in one architectural period. The inside is just as stunning as the outside with beautiful stained-glass windows, countless shrines lit up with candles, and an incredibly arched ceiling. It was so nice to walk around, light a candle, and take in all the tiny details of this church.
Happy Friday, everyone! Today is my first Friday Favorites post where I will be sharing a handful of things I have really been enjoying over the past week. I am still recovering from a pretty bad cold, so you will see how my favorites correspond to that! Enjoy xx
1. Bobbi Brown Retouching Wand
This is a new product from my favorite makeup brand – Bobbi Brown. I LOVE THIS. Since I have been feeling under the weather, this is honestly the only makeup I have been wearing. It is exactly what it claims to be – a magical retouching wand for your face. You can use it as a foundation, concealer, or touch-up stick. I have been using it after moisturizing to “spot treat”. I applied it lightly under my eyes to brighten and around my nose to combat redness. The formula blends into your skin seamlessly, and I don’t even need to set it with powder. I am in the shade Porcelain. It looks just like my skin but better. Thank you, Bobbi!
