An Evening with Miild Makeup + Hotel Chocolat

Recently I had an amazing opportunity to attend an event hosted by Hotel Chocolat and Miild Makeup. My sweet friend Helen came with me, and it was honestly the best night ever! We ate way too much chocolate and got to try so many new makeup products. We were in HEAVEN.

If you are unfamiliar, Hotel Chocolat is a luxury chocolate company that focuses on ‘More Cocoa, Less Sugar.’ The quality and taste of their products is unbelievable, and literally everything they serve contains some form of cocoa beans! Hotel Chocolat has a cafe right in the heart of Copenhagen where the event was held. Upon our arrival, we each received a cocoa bean martini along with a tray filled with several different types of chocolate to share!

After we were settled in, there was a makeup demonstration by Tine and Tanja, the creators of Miild Makeup. Miild is a sustainable, organic, hypoallergenic makeup line that has just recently launched in Denmark. Tanja attended the same makeup artistry school as me here in Copenhagen (several years before I did), and I love using all-natural beauty products, so you can imagine how excited I was when this brand came out. As many of you know, I struggle with extremely sensitive skin, and that is not ideal when you are a makeup artist! Tine and Tanja have created this company with women like me in mind as well as for those who simply want a pure and holistic alternative to traditional makeup products. How cool is that?

And as if we hadn’t already consumed enough chocolate, you were able to choose a warm beverage from Hotel Chocolat’s drink menu! Helen and I both opted for a hot chocolate with whipped cream because that is obviously what they are known for. However, this was not an ordinary hot chocolate. Instead of being topped with traditional whipped cream, there was a beautiful layer of chocolate mousse (or as they call it – cocoa whip) on top! I had never seen anything like this done before, and it was definitely the most decadent, rich drink I have ever tasted.

BUT WAIT. The chocolate tasting still wasn’t over! (I know, I couldn’t believe it either.) Each guest was then served a piece of chocolate on a tiny plate and was told to guess the flavor. The store manager then went on to tell what flavor it was, what was in it, and how it was created! The chocolate tasting carried on, and I think I ate 7 or 8 more pieces! My favorites were apple pie and lemon cheesecake. SO incredibly delicious.

Afterwards, there was a chance to purchase chocolate and makeup along with getting color matched by Tine and Tanja. I purchased a beautiful highlighter that I am now obsessed with! There was also an amazing goodie bag, filled with treats from both Miild and Hotel Chocolat.

This night was truly wonderful. It was so nice to be pampered and have an evening to relax and enjoy two of my very favorite things! Thank you to both Miild Makeup and Hotel Chocolat for hosting this event! If you are interested in learning more about either brand, you can visit Miild here and Hotel Chocolat here. Also, if you live in Denmark, don’t forget to follow them both on Instagram so you don’t miss out on future events!

Hope you enjoyed yet another yummy post here on Breakfast at Madison’s! Have an amazing day!

Now that was my type of evening with the decadent hot chocolate and tasting all those amazing chocolates. It is one of my favourite chocolates that we pick up when we visit our daughter.
